Šiškra (Alphabet)

This Traditional Script (Sand-Script) was designed by Gareth. It is based off Sarinilli's of Hyrule Realm, my original Gerudo script, and the script seen on the cobra statues in the main room of The Spirit Temple.

Special thanks to Nintendo, Sarinilli, and Gareth.

Do not be intimidated by Sand-Script: this is only for serious, Gerudo Scholars. Not too important to know if you just want to learn the spoken language.

   International Phoenetic Alphabet Conversion Chart

I am going to use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) for this language, because it is much easier for beginners. Also, this alphabet is used by the Gerudos in Great Bay (they do not use Sand-script in Great Bay), both versions of the official textbook and can be used on the computer.

I also added some Roman spelling notes. For those who cannot use IPA on your computer: this will help when writing a quick e-mail.

Note: only SOME of the characters need to be transliterated, because they don't exist in basic Roman character sets. Vowels are also transliterated.
