Introduction and Summary of the contents of my Web-site:
This dialect of the Gerudo language is one of many interpretations. So far, I have not seen any other versions on the internet, but one cannot assume that they are the only one and cannot claim to fame with it. Being a Linguistic Anthropology major, I know the ins and outs of building a language. I decided to get some practice and invent this "Language of Thieves". Many people have produced versions of the Hylian Language (I am pretty fluent in one dialect of it), so, breaking away from the ordinary, I decided to hypothesize the language of Ganondorf's tribe. I figured "Who would want to hypothesize the native language of the bad guy from The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time?" No one! Or at least a rare few. That is why I did it.
This language was invented because I have an interest in foreign languages (I speak a few of them: most are from "Zaathalah"--Packed Earth Society does not want me to mention the word "Earth" because they own this whole web-site: I'm just a contributor) and I am obsessed with Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series.
This language is a phonemic language as opposed to
ones whose characters are words--like Chinese or Japanese Kanji--or
symbols that are sounds--Japanese Hiragana and Katakana alphabets. The
Gerudo Alphabet is basically The International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA),
which is a standard in the study of Linguistics.
To note: If you are going to use this language for fan-fiction
purposes: PLEASE tell me you are going to do so. Do not forget to also
give credit where it is due.

Come join, today! Enjoy discussing material on this web-site! Also, we have some special contributors to the board: Hi no Seijin, web-master of Tal'Kipach Risthan. He is going to post lessons on his homebrewed language: Ancient Hylian( which was spoken in Termina's Stone Tower). And another linguist on this board is MagmarFire web-master of Tower of Hades will be posting lessons of his language: Sheikian (the language of the Sheikah Tribe). My message board is a Linguist's ultimate dream! It is like the Sacred Realm, but you are alive and it is easy to get to from your home computer!

See all of the banners below of the web-sites that dared to hookshot across the bridge and into Gerudo Valley. Congrats to IZC for being the first to get a "Membership Card" and becoming a Gerudo! You can be a Gerudo, too (without having to sneak around the fortress). Just e-mail me and tell me a little about your web-site, send me your banner and you're well on your way to becoming a Gerudo. The only condition is it has to be either Gerudo-related or Legend of Zelda related.

Unfortunately, the Ice's Zelda Central banner is not working. Until I can call some male, Hylian construction workers to fix this, to go there, click here www.generation17.com/izc. Ice's web-site is one of the oldest Legend of Zelda fan-sites. It may not have any languages from the Zelda games, but it has some great music that you can download and a brand-new interactive web-site!

Let us welcome a new member of the Gerudo Tribe, Zelda Battle Arena! This site is full of information about the Zelda video game series plus the cartoon. It also has maps of Hyrule and Termina (no more having to call AAA...or would it be called HAA?...for road assistance!). It also has neat MIDIs of Zelda music remixes. It is definitely a site worth taking a look at. Click here Zelda Battle Arena!

I stumbled onto this web-site while I was hanging out at my usual message boards. I took a look and thought Sweet! If I could get a link to his site...it would be pretty cool! And on top of being chocked full of all of that Legend of Zelda goodness you love: it is Flash-animation based! Flash-Animation is the Future and Mabe Village will be one of the first web-sites to arrive there! As far as getting a link on this site, Mabe Village is certainly NOT a "Maybe": it is a "Most certainly will!". Click here to see the future of web-site designing: Mabe Village
This web-site is all about Nintendo and its many great franchises. It ranges from talking about everybody's favourite chubby, red-clothed plumber to everyone's favourite little, yellow Electric-mouse and more. If you are one of those die-hard Nintendo fans: THIS is truly a neat place to visit. Click here: LightAngelTora's Site .

Hi no Seijin runs this site ( he, myself and LightAngelTora are all affluent members on other Zelda-related forums). This web-site is mostly forums. However, these forums are very innovative: some of them have Legend of Zelda fan-fics posted on them as well as lessons in the Ancient Hylian Language (which was invented by the web-master, himself). You can also find Sheikah Language lessons, there, too (courtesy of Magmar Fire) and I am also a co-administrator for this site. Oh, and I have some original fan-fics posted there (these are stories that you cannot find on my web-site...which is very peculiar in a way). Anyway, if not go for my lost fan-fics, but go for Hi no Seijin's or any other member's works. Tal'Kipach Risthan or as it is called in English: "The Stone Tower".

Say Hello to our newest member of the Gerudo Tribe! TheTower of Hades, which is run by MagmarFire: creator of the Sheikian Language--The Language of the Sheikah Tribe. It is way too cool to even begin to describe. Because I love learning foreign languages, I am currently studying Sheikian. Check it out! It is really a cool site! TheTower of Hades
