The Z-Team was a television show created for the fall season in 913 GUE by Syovar the Strong. The plot centered around a group of soldiers led by Vice Regent Syovar who wandered around the Eastlands, where the show was filmed, helping people solve problems (usually with militaristic or explosive solutions). While the show stayed primarily in the Eastlands during it's 32-episode run, they did venture to Antharia, and even the Westlands to tackle some powerful enchanters in the episode, "Murder Up My Sleeve!" As previously stated, the show only ran for 32 episodes. This was despite enormous praise and support from the audience. QBS, the network it aired on, just wouldn't have any of it, and cancelled it. It's featured cast includes: Syovar II as Syovar the Strong Antharia Jack as Foots Mr. Z as E.Z. Temptation. Mr. Z was a television star from the early 10'th century GUE. He was primarily known for his role as E.Z. Temptation on Syovar the Strong's hit television show The Z-Team. Aside from that, his most popular role was in Borphee or Bust, where he picked up his trademark line, "I pity the Foo!" Zbay is a famous trade spirit who regularly pays visits to all of the towns in Quendor. Nobody knows who he is, why he's named "Zbay," how old he is, or even if he's a he. Over the hundreds of years we've been visited by Zbay, several people have tried to kill him, and none have succeeded. They always claim they do it to see if Zbay is real, but since nobody really knows for sure, we can only call him a spirit. Zbay visits our towns to buy the people's junk at random prices. Sybar Zeebin is the author of a history of the fall of the Great Underground Empire called The Dark Age of Frobozz. Zeke ran an underground appliance store that was an official outlet for all Frobozz Magic Appliances. Zeke's store was located just off Great Underground Highway # 2, near Egreth. Zeno was a builder of magic bridges, who lived during an unknown period. A moderately well-known bridge built by Zeno is one that crosses the Phee River. This bridge confounds many travelers with the odd fact that when you attempt to cross it, you only travel half the distance you want to go, and hence you never get where you are going. Zilbeetha: This is one of the oldest and dearest legends in the annals of Quendor. Zilbeetha, a beautiful maiden, somehow angered an evil mage, and was placed under enchantment and turned into a crystal orb on the very day that she was to be wed. The heartbroken groom, who is always depicted holding a fragile bloom, sought help from the wizard's goodly twin. The good wizard turned the groom to stone, that he might stay young until the day Zilbeetha was returned to him. The legend also has an ominous note; returning a false orb would result in death. In the year 883 this legend was revealed to be true fact, and was concluded on a happy note. The adventurer who would eventually become the first Dungeon Master was able to find the orb of Zilbeetha deep underground in the Eastlands, and return it to the groom's statue, near the Flathead Fjord. The loving couple was finally reunited, and lived happily ever after. Zilbo I was the fourth king of the Entharion Dynasty. He came to the throne in 398 GUE, after Zylon the Aged, and was succeeded by Bozbo I in 423 GUE. Zilbo II was the sixth king of the Entharion Dynasty. He came to the throne in 429 GUE, after Bozbo I, and was succeeded by Harmonious Fzort. Zilbo III was the fourteenth and final king of the Entharion Dynasty. He came to the throne in 628 GUE, after Mumbo II, and was succeeded by Duncanthrax the Bellicose, the first king of the Flathead Dynasty, on the last day of 659 GUE. Little is known about what became of Zilbo after 659. Some say he was killed during the palace revolt, or simply died from too much reveling while celebrating the upcoming New Year. There is evidence that he was exiled to a Mithican villa, where he invented the card games Fanucci, Double Fanucci, and Gabber Tumper. Billington Zimbog, known professionally as "Willey," was a staple to television audiences, running the networks that created two of the most famous shows in history: The Enchanters' Broadcasting Group with This Psyantist's Life in 883 GUE, and The Quendorian Broadcasting System with The Z-Team in 911 GUE. He is also remembered for having infamous fights with Syovar the Strong over the contents of what he considered "his show," The Z-Team. After The Z-Team was cancelled in 912 GUE, Willey Zimbog disappeared that same year and has never been seen again. Zorbel Pass: This wide pass through the Flathead Mountains, at the southern end of the range, connects the Fublio and Frigid River Valleys. The Zorbel Pass was the site of the Diablo Massacre in 666 GUE. Zork is a classic folk myth about a treasure-hunting adventurer who became a master of magic. It has been translated into novels, theatricals, giant wall murals... almost every imaginable medium. Like most myths, Zork has its basis in reality. In 948 an unknown adventurer near the former sight of Flatheadia ventured underground, claimed the Twenty Treasures of Zork, defeated the Wizard of Frobozz, and became the second Dungeon Master. The magie, Great Underground Adventure III, starring Antharia Jack, is based on this ancient legend. Jack is quite famous for playing this famous adventurer in both GUA3 and it's sequel, Great Underground Adventure IV. The Zork Branch Corporation had one of the first television networks in history. Unlike it's competitor QBS, it still exists today, and is the home of many shows, including Castle Improvement, Who Wants to be a Zillionaire?, and 50/50. Zorkaster and the Flame was written and published anonymously in 380 GUE and is believed to be the first popular Zorkastrianist book. It tells the story of a waifish orphan who ran away from his house in Mareilon only to stumble into a mysterious, dank cave. In the cave, the orphan--who remained nameless throughout the whole book and is generally believed to be the author, himself--found a sentient flame. This flame tought the orphan it's philosophy of life and death and magic and religion. Each chapter in the book, with the exception of every tenth, was just a long speech made to the orphan from the flame. Every tenth chapter consisted of either a narrative involving the orphan's travels, or a simple dialogue between the flame and the orphan. Published in 380 GUE, it already saw modest popularity. However, when Saint Yoruk returned from his voyage to the Eastlands, his publicity caused a surge in interest in Zorkastrianism, and a tremendous spike in the sales of this book. Zorkastrianism is one of the oldest religions on Quendor. Started before the dawn of current historical recording methods, and continuing as a viable religion today, Zorkastrianism draws on fire for most of it's mythology. The first pioneer of Zorkastrianism was Saint Yoruk who sailed across the Great Sea long before King Duncanthrax did. When Yoruk returned, he contained in his skull most of the knowledge that made Zorkastrianism as popular as it is today. Following the fall of the Flathead Empire, and the subsequent takeover by the Inquisition, whose roots were heavily Zorkastrian. The center of Zorkastrianism is the Steppinthrax Monastery in the Eastlands, near Port Foozle. That monastery, up until 1067 GUE, and again these days, is the house of several Zorkastrian monks. In 1067, Mir Yannick condemned the monastery, took it over, and turned it into his Inquisition H.Q. After he was deposed, the Zorkastrian Church took the monastery over, refurbished it, and reopened it in 1070 GUE. These days, the Zorkastrians celebrate Yoruk Daze! every year on the third of Arch. The main literature tought to Zorkastrian students consists of: Volumes 1-13 of the Books of Saint Yoruk, Revelation and Eternity by Francois Malveaux, and the anonymously written Zorkaster and the Flame. Of the 32 volumes of the Books of Saint Yoruk, only the first thirteen deal specifically with Zorkastrianism. Despite Bishop Malveaux's now widely-known connections with murder and magical torture, his Revelation and Eternity, with it's emphasis on the use of fire to purify a person's soul, is still a very important piece of Zorkastrianist literature. Zorkaster and the Flame was written in 380 GUE by an anonymous philosopher and is believed to be the first popular book about Zorkastrianism.
The Zorkeolothic Epozz is the current epozz that we are living in. Historians estimate that this epozz began at around 10,000 BE, and continues up until the present day. The characteristics of this epozz include two continents on each side of the Great Sea, and one large island in the middle. The Great Sea is full of salty water, and the continents have plenty of mountains, including some active volcanoes left over from the previous epozz. The most notable events of this epozz include: The reigns of Entharion and Dimwit Flathead, and the coup by the Grand Inquisitor, and the end of the First Age of Magic in 966 GUE. The Curseolithic Age is a relatively short period of time inside this epozz. The Zorkeolithic Epozz followed the Brogmolithic Epozz, and is set to be followed by the Futurelithic Epozz in 1627 GUE.
In this picture, taken from the hourglass room in the Temple of Agrippa by an adventurous explorer, you can see the standard mountains and clouds that make up our world. Zorkmid: The zorkmid was the unit of currency of the Great Underground Empire, and is still used in most parts of the kingdom today. The first zorkmid was minted on Augur 16, 699 GUE, during the reign of Belwit the Flat. This coin bore the likeness of Belwit, the year, and the coin's value on the front, while on the back it had a picture of Egreth Castle, with the motto "In Frobs We Trust" stamped in two different languages. Zorkmids of different denominations were issued, including the 500 and 10,000 zm coins, and the 100 zm bill. The largest issue was a 100,000 zm bill. Only one of these was ever printed, at the request of J. Pierpont Flathead. The Zucchini Wars, which devastated seven provinces during the fifth century, were finally ended by the Treaty of Znurg in 474 GUE. Zurfs: Zurfs are a suit of cards in the game of Double Fanucci.
Zylon the Aged was the third king of the Entharion Dynasty. He ruled Quendor for the remarkably long period from 55 to 389 GUE.
