In his most recent chat, Justin Monjo said, "No, we don't have a name, we are taking suggestions right now," in a response to a question about Natira's species.
So, does anyone know where/how I can contact them? 'Cause I think Natira would be a perfect Scorvian.
We've never seen a Scorvian before. The closest we've come was Matala from BABABTTF, who was genetically altered to look like an Ilanic. So, Matala didn't look like a Scorvian, so there's no reason why a real Scorvian wouldn't look like Natira. Plus, Natira's whole attitude regarding D'Argo sounded like the [presumed] attitude of a Scorvian, which I'll get to in the next paragraph.
Now, in BABABTTF, it was revealed that the Ilanics were at war with the Scorvians. Evidence was also presented that would lead one to believe that the Scorvians were, in fact, winning the war against the Ilanics. That's why the Ilanic corps sent Vorell and his team out: To get the last-ditch weapon so they could destroy the Scorvians before the Scorvians destroyed them. However, as I'm sure we all know, Moya and her crew kinda messed up that plan. Therefore, the Ilanics never got their doomsday weapon, and the Scorvians were able to continue their vanquishing of them. After the Scorvians conquered the Ilanics, the Luxans probably got angry; after all, they were allies.
Now, the Scorvians, since they were able to take out the Ilanics so easily, probably decimated the Luxans as well.

And the quick defeat of the Luxans at the hands of the Scorvians would not only give the Scorvians a feeling of arrogance about Luxans, but would give everyone else much less respect for Luxans with regard to their war prowess. This is why I think Natira is a Scorvian.
"Luxans, as a race, are inartful at love, inadequate at war, and intrinsically inept. But this one... is intelligent."
"He's a Luxan, he'll die first."
Those are some of Natira's lines from Liars, Guns, and Money, Part 1: "A Not So Simple Plan". And that isn't the only example of a loss of generalized respect for D'Argo that has occured on the show.
In PKTG, the Sheyangs stopped firing on the wreckage of the Zelbinion when they realized that there was a Luxan there. That, I'd say, was before the Scorvians vanquished the Luxans. I think that the turning point occured sometime between LATP, probably closer to LATP. Cargn, the Scarran dude, seemed rather unafraid that he was fighting a Luxan, at the end of LATP3. I believe that Scarran territory is rather close to (formerly) Luxan territory, due to both of those races' toleration of heat. So, if the Luxans lost the war with the Scorvians, the Scarrans (who were close in space to them) would have heard about it before a lot of people on the other side of the UT. And that's why Cargn was so confident as he was fighting D'Argo and Scorpius.
Now, since this theory is based on the idea that the Scorvians have killed off most, if not all, of the Luxans in their war, then D'Argo and a handful of others scattered throughout the galaxy could be all that's left. That would explain why we've never seen any other Luxans on the show.
But, you may ask, wouldn't D'Argo or Aeryn have known?
OK... D'Argo was imprisoned for 8 cycles, right? Right. Which means he must've met Lo'laan and had Jothee before then. Now, if the TGAS disk of Jothee was the taken the year that D'Argo was arrested, Jothee was probably two or three. So that's 10 or 11 years during which D'Argo was not involved in war. And if D'Argo is 30 cycles old, which he told Zhaan, then that means he was 20 when he met Lo'laan and stopped doing the war scene.
Now, D'Argo also told Zhaan that he had already seen two battle campaigns. So they must've been rather short battle campaigns, wouldn't you say?
In BABABTTF, I think that Vorell said that the war between the Ilanics and the Scorvians had been going on for a while. So the battle campaigns, due to their length, couldn't have been against the Scorvians, or D'Argo would probably have still been battling.
Anyway, the point I was making, is that D'Argo never actually battled a Scorvian, so all he (and Aeryn) know about them would probably be from Luxan, Ilanic, or Peacekeeper propaganda. And the propaganda, for all we know, made the Scorvians look like hairy dude from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.
I once saw an old World War 1 propaganda poster in which a German person was depicted as a giant gorilla. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about here.
